Dorf der Tiere (animal village) in Abersee
At the animal village a wide range of animals (hares, ponies, donkeys, lamas, the Haflinger mare Toska, ducks, geese and guinea pigs) all live in miniature houses. Also to be seen are pot-bellied pigs and mini-pigs, goats and "Dammy" the fallow deer.
The animals love to be fed, stroked and held by children and adults.
The entry price includes use of a gigantic play area that contains a slide, climbing frame, trampolines and climbing mountain, and invariably proves a hit with children.
Visitors can create music in the Music Room, ride pedal cars around the race track, and in hot weather cool down in the trick fountains.
The Dorf der Tiere (animal village) can be reached directly from the Wolfgangsee highway. It is open daily from 09.00 to dusk between March and October.
