Welcome to Botanica garden Bad Schallerbach!
The spa’s 22 hectare garden of EurothermenResorts Bad Schallerbach was home to the Upper Austrian Botanica Garden Show in 2009. 360 000 people were enthusiastic about its uniqueness, the colourful flowers and the different attractions.
The whole garden turned now into the “Botanica garden” Bad Schallerbach, where all attractions of the Upper Austrian Botanica Garden Show were retained. Go for a walk, jog or play with your children in the garden. Free entry! Enjoy the floridity and the beauty of the garden.

Special Highlights in 2011
From 30.04.-11.07.2011 on Saturdays, Sundays, bridge days and official holidays and also in summer holidays from 11.07.-11.09.2011 daily from 11:00-18:00 (depending on weather):
Guests’ garden “Café am Seerosenteich”
with drinks, snacks and ice-cream, opened from 13:00-19:00
A farm, where children can stroke small animals and drive a small tractor
For children to a size of 1,50m

Botanical highlights
- Thousands of beautiful, colorful flowers welcome you at the beginning of the 2.6 kilometers long circle-path which invites you to take enjoying walks.
- Enjoy a marvelous view over the wide ranging garden area while standing on a sightseeing point. This is a magical place for children because of its chain bridge and slide.
- The pharmacists’ garden is well known among experts and is like an open air library. More than 100 different kinds of medical plants make it to one of Austrias biggest collection of homeopathic plants.
- The garden of meditation impresses with its willow tree. A perfect place to relax and meditate in its shadow.
- he Viennese rose garden guarantees different kinds of amazing roses in its modern setting of “Thorny poetry”.
- Artistically sculptures made out of earth are part of the circle-path. Meet i.e. “The head of the giant” or “The sleeping woman”.
Water highlights
- Water parks like the stone-fog-garden, the spa-garden or the sulphurous-garden are perfect for refreshment on hot days.
- The idyllic lily pond is beautiful with its crystal clear water, surrounded by flowers and small trees.
- Standing on a bridge, watching the nature of the natural pond. A jungle path leads curious discoverers through the thicket.
Action for children guaranteed
- A wide range of different playgrounds are perfect for children. Whether they play on a playground in the wood with a chain bridge and tree swings or they prove their skills on the climbing playground.
- The farm for children with its hay barn and compound for small farm animals make children’s heart beat faster. The farm is opened to various times (look at Special Highlights 2011)
