Since the Roman times, evidence has existed about the special effect of sulphur on the musculoskeletal system. Wherever sulphurous spa water bubbled its way to the earth’s surface, those seeking help for their ailments gathered from all over Europe to cure their suffering.
Until a few years ago it was praised for being “the” spa water for patients with rheumatism, today sulphur has taken over yet another top spot: Our lifestyle of being seated leads to an abundance of ailments, which all respond very well to the treatment of bathing in sulphurous water.
Accordingly, today in the Physikarium we very often treat a wide range of functional back or joint problems, which are primarily caused by incorrect (or a lack of) strain.
Ingredients:
About 660 mg total mineralisation, about 4 mg/litre Sulphur
(the active ingredient that gives our spa water its name)
Temperature about 37° Celsius
Indications of sulphurous spa water are primarily damage to and illness of the musculoskeletal system (muscle, spinal and joint problems), also following accidents or operations.
Contraindications of spa waters (in general, also those without sulphur) are all acute inflammatory illnesses (acute episodes of every type of chronic inflammation (e.g. rheumatism), inflammatory skin diseases etc.), fever, general poor health and reduced performance levels of the cardiovascular system (cardiac insufficiency).
Also venous diseases, such as prominent varicose veins.

- Health bath (about 20 min)
- Power jet massage (20 min)
- Individual underwater exercise (25 min)
- Group underwater exercise (25 min)
