Physio Relax massage
The massage
This massage was developed in 1999 by Dr. König for the treatment of stress and burn-out patients.
The neurophysiological principles of this massage originate from studies of the American Touch Research Institute, which provide evidence that certain massage techniques can both reduce the concentration of stress hormones as well as release additional endorphins and other “feel-good” hormones.
The procedure
The physio relax massage is a full body massage with a moderately large amount of oil and a combination of neurophysiologically effective techniques.
Slow strokes with the underarm, intensive skin contact, gentle stretching, shaking and swinging of the large joints (Trager® techniques), wave techniques on the spine and intensive massage of the legs and feet….
Special care in making contact and when breaking contact are equally as important as the guest’s breathing rhythm.
The main aim of this massage is the maximum release of endorphins and other “feel good” hormones such as serotonin or oxytocin, and to lower cortisol levels to reduce the detrimental consequences of long-term stress.
Many guests say that it is the most wonderful massage they have ever had.
