6,500 Pirates enjoy a star-studded fireworks party
What a party! The "Radio Oberösterreich Summer Open Air Party" on Saturday, 28th July 2007, in the Aquapulco Bad Schallerbach.
The longest "Pirates´ Night" in Upper Austria was hosted jointly by ORF OÖ, the Upper Austrian radio station, the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labour and the Aquapulco Bad Schallerbach and was a sensational success.
The senior pirates, Claudia Woitsch and Wolfgang Lehner, from Radio Upper Austria, humorously moderated the evening, which had many highlights throughout. The Upper Austrian Eric Papilaya started the evening off and warmed up the crowd nicely with his song contest hits - followed by Luttenberger*Klug, who have taken the charts by storm, the two girls were rapturously greeted especially by the teenies
At the latest by "Live is Life" thousands of fans were singing their hearts out, Opus wowed the crowd with their numerous hits. The highlight of the evening though was the rock idol from the 1980s - Shakin´ Stevens, who held the crowd in the palm of his hand from the start. His catchy tunes really got the thousands of fans going - he wowed the crowd for one and a half hours with his hits such as "Oh Julie", "You drive me crazy" and "Marie, Marie"
Upper Austrian´s biggest summer party finished with a long spectacular firework display. The satisfied summing up by Eurotherme managing director Markus Achleitner: "Success at every level - Thank you to everyone - the follow-up in 2008."
